Into the Woods

This is not your typical Disney fairytale. The unusual story premiered on Christmas day and has shocked and pleased crowds alike. The movie intertwines the plots of many well-known stories from our childhood including Jack and the Bean Stock, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Rapunzel and more.

Into the Woods combines the characters of multiple fairytales into one kingdom and depicts the events of their interactions as the details of their individual quests coincide. It utilizes popular tales to create an original movie with new plot twists that keep the audience guessing.

The movie starts off by introducing the main characters while conveying their underlying needs and wants in the first song of the musical. It soon alludes that the characters have to travel “into the woods” to find what they seek, which is where the characters of multiple plots come together. The storyline goes awry as it does the unexpected and creates a plot twist forcing all the characters to work together in an unusual ending to an unfamiliar fairytale.

Into the Woods lived up to hype and has shocked box offices around the country. This a Disney movie that should not be overlook, so head to the theater to see this entertaining movie.
